Powersports Dealers Auction Scam Alert

Warning...Auction Scam!
There are auction companies soliciting consignment of new motorcycles ATV’s, PWC’s and boats. Their sales pitch is that they only sell to the public and can get at least dealer invoice for you so as to free up flooring and reduce interest charges. They will even send a list of units that allegedly sold in recent auctions and the amounts that the seller netted. Then they will offer to send a truck to pick them up. They will fax a consignment agreement to you ,which eludes to the performance guarantee , but has the term Absolute in the verbiage.
Absolute means no reserve!!!!! They will sell your units for 40% of invoice and then charge you anywhere from 8 to 10% commission.
One of these companies got me last month and I’m fighting it out with them
but it is very expensive to do so 4 states away.
